Personality

Caolan isn't a stereotypical Fire Elemental, let alone teacher.

Although Caolan doesn't have much going for him that's significant, he is very opportunistic. This was how he was able to become a teacher at the Academy in the first place. His tendency to be opportunistic also helped him through several experiences. Caolan used to be a troublesome child and a rebellious teen, but due to him maturing and gaining a new outlook on life, he's more grateful for what he has. Him being a former troublesome child/teen means that he can get "one over" on troublesome students. Towards these students, he'll be sassy. But he is careful to make sure that he doesn't cause serious arguments with them, especially since some students were born into royalty.

When he's stressed, he can found in a bar or two.

He isn't a teacher that aims to win over his students or attempt to look cool. At the end of the day, he just wants money and to be able to live in a big house somewhere quiet.

As of the students who don't try to irritate him, he won't give them any special treatment but he'll be thankful that they're not giving him a hard time. If students want to impress him, they can either talk to him about photography (one of the two subjects he only ever paid attention in), keep him updated on video games or get him food.

History

Caolan was born as Cedric Bossart in the ski resort of Verbier, in Switzerland. He was born to Swiss parents with French and Italian ancestry. They were both permanent residents of Verbier. However, his parents didn't want a child (but to not be cruel to the child and leave him without a name, they named him Cedric). The pair abandoned him, where he was later found by an Irish couple, Alana and Henry Briquet, who were not permanent residents of Verbier but were vacationing there.

Alana and Henry, who were the parents of two other children; Declan and Cecelia, were not excessively rich, but did have a lot of money behind them. They owned a vacational residence in another part of Switzerland. (TBC)
